I mean, we have our tree and all of our decorations upwards, our elf Ginger has come to visit, my kiddos are enjoying their advent calendars, and my girl and I are doing our annual Nutcracker show this weekend.

One of my favorite Christmas morn salubrious additions is this mixed greens salad with fruit. I get in all the time for brunch spreads as a fresh and fruity side to residue all the casseroles and biscuits.
And of course, Christmas dinner needs it's ain special salad besides. More freshness and a popular of sweetness aid to cutting the heavy master dishes we tend to serve.
(Technically, my family does our large dinner on Christmas Eve instead of Christmas Twenty-four hour period, so that's when we would serve this. Anyone else do it that style?)

Ingredients
For the salad:
- 1 (5-6 oz) bag mixed greens
- 1 large pear, thinly sliced
- 1/2 pomegranate, arils removed
- one/4 cup slivered almonds, toasted
- 4 oz. caprine animal cheese, crumbled
For the dressing:
- 1/4 cup actress-virgin olive oil
- ii tablespoons white wine vinegar
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Identify a small-scale basin in the centre of a large platter to create a "wreath." Arrange the greens on the platter. Top with the sliced pears, sprinkle with the pomegranate arils and almonds, then add the crumbled goat cheese.
- Brand the dressing: Combine the olive oil, vinegar, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, honey, table salt and pepper in a small jar with a chapeau. Encompass and shake well to combine. (Alternatively, add all of the ingredients to a pocket-sized bowl and whisk actually well until combined.)
